Illustration: www.silkemüller.de On the occasion of the International Women’s Day on 8 March, the City of Linz this year conferred the Women’s Award of the City of Linz for the third time. The honour was bestowed on the project initiative “Feminismus und Krawall” (Feminism and Riot). Kunstuniversität Linz is a member of this transcultural women’s policy association of organisations and individuals. “The project convinced us with its seemingly lightweight and entertaining approach to the issue of feminism. With tongue in cheek, the project participants conquer public space and confront a broad audience with (their) demands regarding women’s policy. This is an impressive collaborative project that refrains from overtly adver tising the seriousness of its thematic concerns.” Statement of the jury for the Women’s Award of the City of Linz
