Im Institut für Kunst und Bildung sind die vier Lehramtsstudien — Bildnerische Erziehung — Mediengestaltung — Textiles Gestalten — Technik & Design / Werkerziehung zusammengefasst. Dadurch ist es in der jetzigen Phase der Weiterentwicklung und Neu strukturierung der gesamten LehrerInnenausbildung (samt Umstellung auf Bachelor- und Masterstudien) möglich, eng zu kooperieren und konzentriert zu re a gieren. Die Kunstuniversität Linz hat alle Voraussetzungen, um sich neben Wien zum zweiten Zentrum der LehrerInnenaus- und weiterbildung für alle künstlerisch-gestalterischen Fächer zu entwickeln, da sie als bisher einzige österreichische Ausbildungsstätte be - reits heute alle personellen und inhaltlichen Anforderungen des Qualifizierungsrates für das Angebot aller künstlerisch-gestalterischen Fächer erfüllt, sowie die gefor derte praxisnahe Ausbildung an der Universität seit langem sicherstellt. The Institute of Art and Education is home to the four teacher training programmes: — Art Education — Media Design — Textile Design — Design & Technology As a result, the current phase of redevelopment and restructuring of the entire teacher training complex (including the switch to bachelor and master curricula) allows for close co-operation and concerted reaction. The University of Art and Design Linz disposes of all preconditions to evolve, alongside Vienna, into the second centre of basic and advanced teacher training for all artistic and design disciplines, since it is the only educational facility in Austria so far to comply with all staff-related and thematic requirements of the Qualifications Council regarding the full range of artistic and design curricula and moreover has for many years been safeguarding the required practical, hands-on approach to university training.
