Das Institut für Kunst und Bildung umfasst die Fächer Bildnerische Erziehung, Gestaltung – Unterrichtsfach Technisches Werken, Textiles Gestalten und Mediengestaltung. Ab dem Wintersemester 2017/18 werden zusätzlich das Fach Technisches und Textiles Werken und die Spezialisierung Mediengestaltung angeboten. Das Institut für Kunst und Bildung hat als Zielsetzung die unterschiedlichsten Positionierungen künstlerisch-gestalterischer Theorie und Praxis hinsichtlich ihrer Potentiale für bildungsrelevante Handlungsfelder zu lehren und zu erforschen. Dies geschieht vor dem Hintergrund einer global vernetzten Informations- und Kommunikationskultur und den daraus resultierenden sozio-kulturellen, ökonomischen und bildungspolitischen Herausforderungen Die Aufgabe des Institutes und seiner Lehrenden ist es, die StudentInnen in künstlerischen und pädagogischen Prozessen kritisch-reflexiv und konstruktiv zu begleiten. Mit Blick auf eine neue Schulkultur werden besonders Dialog- und Diskursfähigkeit und der Erwerb von individuellen als auch interkulturellen kollektiven Kompetenzen gefördert. Anna Maria Loffredo The Institute of Art and Education encompasses the curricula for Art Education, Design Education, Textile Design and Media Design. Starting from the 2017/18 winter semester, the Technical and Textile Design Education curriculum for new secondary schools and the MA specialisation Media Design will be added to the roster of degree programmes. The Institute of Art and Education aims to teach and research a great variety of positions of artistic as well as design theory and practice in order to explore their potentials relating to educationally relevant activity areas. This objective is pursued against the background of a globally networked information and communication culture and the resulting socio cultural, economic and education-policy challenges. The task of the Institute and its teachers lies in critically-reflectively and constructively supporting students in artistic and pedagogical processes. To accommodate a new culture of school education, special emphasis is given to nurturing the ability to engage in dialogue and discourse as well as to the acquisition of both individual and intercultural collective skills.
